Introducing Maxxis-Shimano Pro Cyclocross Team

We are thrilled to be involved with this exceptional new cyclocross team just launched. Team Maxxis-Shimano featuring US stars Danny Summerhill, Luke Keough, Erica Zaveta and Cari Higgins will be racing Z-Zero XD and Chebaccos this year. Join us at Cross Vegas for their inaugural race!

The race machine:

The race schedule is as follows:

Racing for the Maxxis-Shimano Pro Cyclocross Team will be Danny Summerhill, Luke Keough, Erica Zaveta, and Cari Higgins. A selfless teammate on the road for his UnitedHealthcare Blue Train brothers, Danny Summerhill brings tremendous bike handling skills and a long list of impressive results to the new cyclocross program, including a U23 national championship title and multiple UCI victories in 2014 (Derby Cup day 1 & 2, Cincy3 Harbin Park). Perhaps best known as a track racer and lead out specialist for the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team, Cari Higgins brings a strong work ethic and a powerful sprint to the Maxxis-Shimano Cyclocross Team. Erica Zaveta joins the squad from BMW p/b Happy Tooth road cycling team and Amy D Foundation cyclocross team, where she turned heads with a breakthrough 2014-2015 season, consistently improving her results throughout her first professional season and taking a major UCI victory at the 2014 Gateway Cross Cup.  Luke Keough comes from a cyclocross dynasty in the New England states, where he has amassed numerous victories (5x Cyclesmart Intl Winner) and a loyal following within the cyclocross community. Now located in Colorado Springs and known as a dangerous sprinter and tactician for the UnitedHealthcare Blue Train, look for Luke to bring high-speed finesse to the program, thanks to his background in BMX and ten years of cyclocross racing experience. The team will be managed by Rachel Heal, experienced sporting director of the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team.

Kacey Manderfield at Rotterdam Six

Kacey Manderfield and partner Teresa Cliff Ryan finished in 6th overall at the Six Days of Rotterdam in Holland, January 07 - 12.
Manderfield (Cycle Loft) and Cliff Ryan (Verducci) were the only American pairing in the European event, which was won by the Dutch National Team of  Vera Koedooder and Kristen Wild.
This was their first International race as madison partners, and their first professional Six Day race in Europe. "We're pleased with the fact that we finished in a respectable position on our first Six Day", said Manderfield. "One or two mistakes cost us 4th place over-all when we lost a lap, but it gives us confidence to know that next time we can contend for the podium."
The event was Manderfields first outing on her custom Parlee Z1 Track.

Parlee TT at 70.3 Noosa and Worlds

Having given the Stock TT frameset its first Australian Tri hitout at Noosa, Parlee supported Queensland triathlete Jarrod Owen went on to finish 2nd in the 25-29 Age Group at the 70.3 World’s in Florida.

In doing so he posted the 20th fastest bike leg outright.
