Not all carbon is created equal

Not all carbon is created equal

At the heart of every Parlee bike is a frame and fork built using a unidirectional monocoque construction method crafted with extraordinary precision and care. This is not a mass-production process; it is labor-intensive and time-consuming, demanding the highest level of expertise.

Each frame begins with sheets of premium unidirectional prepreg carbon fiber, a benchmark material in composite performance that delivers exceptional results in every condition. These precisely cut pieces of carbon are carefully oriented and laid by hand in a true monocoque frame construction technique. The result is a frame with unrivaled ride quality, consistency, and durability.

Producing frames with this method is rare in the cycling industry. The cost, skill, and time required make it prohibitive for most manufacturers, who often rely on cheaper, faster techniques to meet mass production targets.

Parlee intentionally chose a different path.

By employing a highly skilled team of carbon fiber craftsmen and women, we ensure that each frame is hand-built to exacting standards by experts who understand how to get every ounce of performance from the material. Every curve, layup angle, and tube thickness is calculated to deliver the precise balance of compliance and power transfer that riders demand.

Not all carbon is created equal, and frame quality is a direct reflection of superior materials, experienced hands, and the time dedicated to each build. A raw carbon frame stands as the ultimate proof point with nothing hidden, and nothing masked.

Because our approach is so intricate, only small batches of frames can be produced at a time. This level of carbon quality and craftsmanship comes at a premium, which is why Parlee bikes command a higher price point.

Parlee has always prioritized quality and rider experience over cost or convenience.

Faster, cheaper production methods were never the goal, because they come at the expense of durability, precision, and feel.

The high price of a Parlee frame reflects the labor, skill, and time invested into every one, and is the result of a deliberate choice to deliver the absolute best carbon frame possible.

Every decision in our manufacturing process is guided by one goal: to produce the highest quality ride feel imaginable. This frame construction process allows us to achieve that goal in ways that most other manufacturers simply cannot match.

Parlee riders are getting a hand-built, precision-engineered carbon frame that exemplifies what is possible when skill, time, and materials are uncompromised.

In an era of fast, mass-produced carbon, this attention to detail makes every Parlee a ride unlike any other.
